DocTalks: AI and Healthcare

On January 27, 2025, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) held its latest installment of DocTalks, discussing AI and Healthcare, at The Paley Center for Media. The conversation, moderated by Dr. James M. McKiernan, Interim Dean of VP&S and CEO of ColumbiaDoctors, explored how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning will play a pivotal role in the future of healthcare. Columbia’s internationally recognized panel of experts—Dr. Jason Adelman, Dr. Noémie Elhadad, Dr. Pierre Elias, Dr. Garud N. Iyengar, and Dr. Sarah Rossetti—discussed AI from multiple perspectives: its utility for researchers and clinicians, its place in medical education and its practical impact on patients.
