Make a Gift

It is easy to make an immediate gift to support patient care, education, or research at Columbia.

And whether you donate via check, credit card, or wire, you can provide special recognition to someone by designating your gift In Honor or In Memory of that person.

Check

Make your check payable to Columbia University and mail it with a note about your gift’s purpose.

Credit Card

Give using your credit card with our secure online giving form or by calling 866-443-8797. A credit card gift entitles you to the same income tax deduction as a cash gift. Should you wish, you may also make a recurring gift online.

Wire Transfer

From anywhere in the world and in any currency, you may wire your gift to Columbia. To transfer your gift, e-mail Gift Systems at giftsys@columbia.edu or call 1-866-GIFTSYS during business hours.

Give Over Time

Through recurring gifts, pledges, or planned giving, you also can act now to make more possible in the future.

Recurring Gifts

A recurring gift is an easy, automatic way to give according to your budget and schedule. Recurring gifts are customizable for donors and help ensure a stable source of funding for Columbia. Simply choose “recurring gift” when you give online.

Pledges

By spreading a donation over time, pledges help you make larger gifts at your own pace, allowing a potentially greater impact on the medical center. Some donors make multi-year pledges, often over five years or less.

For information about making a pledge, call 212-342-0088.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts give back, allowing you to take sizeable income, capital gains, and estate deductions on your taxes. They can provide income for you and your family for life. And planned gifts can be much larger than other gifts, so you can leave a legacy that fits your philanthropic goals. Please visit our planned giving page to learn more.
