The Crown Awards Gala

The Crown Awards Gala is the annual fundraising event for Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S), which allows our community to gather to celebrate our faculty’s achievements in medicine and science and the generosity of our friends who make our vital work possible.

The 2026 Crown Award will recognize and honor Debby and Peter Weinberg for their outstanding leadership and impact on science and medicine at Columbia. Through their sustained philanthropy, our Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center has become a leader of research and integrated, multidisciplinary care for both children and adults with cerebral palsy. The Center is a prime example of how visionary partners can play a vital role in galvanizing the resources and expertise needed to turn bold science into better health.
